Each reverse image represents the artistry of Canadian artist Calder Moore. The images of a polar bear, common loon, and maple leaf are individually featured on the coins, in a radial kaleidoscopic design enhanced with vibrant, overlapping translucent shades of color, imitating the effect of a real kaleidoscope. Canadian artist Susanna Blunt’s effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II appears on each obverse, against an intricately engraved kaleidoscope field pattern.
