2017 Canadian $20.9999 Silver 1oz Coin Order of Military Merit Army PCGS PR69

Since its creation in 1972, more than 4,700 men and women of the Canadian Forces have been appointed to the Order of Military Merit. The mintage is limited to 5,500. Designed by Bruce W. The insignia of the Order of Military Merit has been proudly struck by the Royal Canadian Mint since 2012. The reverse of this fine silver coin presents a near-faithful re-creation of the insignia bestowed upon those appointed to the highest rank of membership: Commander of the Order of Military Merit C. Blue translucent colour re-creates the rich colour of the straight-end cross patée, with its four arms narrowing at the center. Surmounted by a colourful St. Edward’s Crown, a red annulus bears the inscription MERIT. , whose yellow colour mimics the gold of the original insignia. At its center, the red maple leaf helps distinguish the insignia of Commander from that of Officer or Member, which would feature a gold and silver maple leaf (respectively). The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Susanna Blunt. Founded on July 1, 1972, the Order of Military Merit recognizes distinctive merit and exceptional service displayed by the men and women of the Canadian Forces, both Regular and Reserve. Many have demonstrated dedication and devotion beyond the call of duty, and the Order honours them for their commitment to Canada. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is the Order’s Sovereign, the governor general is its Chancellor and a Commander, and the chief of the Defence Staff is its Principal Commander. Weight: 31.83 grams. Bullion Weight: 1.023 Troy Ounces. Obverse: Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse: Order of Military Merit. Series: Canadian Honours, Coin #2 of 4. Monarch: Queen Elizabeth II. Theme: Canada’s Military.

CANADA 1950 SILVER QUARTER / 25 CENTS PCGS SP 66 King George VI Awesome Note:The coloring you might see in the pictures is from the reflection off my camera, my apologies. I need a camera that allows me to back off a foot or two and just zoom in to get no reflection. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know. Thank you very much. Why the blazes are my coins encased in plastic? In fact, I was in Minneapolis in the 80′s and remember the dealers who made mass mailings touting their GEMS, and the 3 to 4 times of profit you were going to make. That the whole business was non-regulated, and more highly opinionated than the cable news networks. As we (the more reputable dealers) watched millions of dollars being made on overgraded coins, many knew it would be the end of the coin market if something was not done. Along came the companies that started to consensus grade and backed up their opinions with dealer guarantees and created a more honest playing field so that even a novice or green horn could participate in the coin investing market without having to read 4 volumes of antiquated numismatic literature or going to College classes on grading intricacies given by profiteers. Coin collecting and investing became more regulated and reliable, with dealers and collectors assured that the coin would be pretty close to the right grade, and not tampered with or “mucked” with. Is it one of the reputable companies in the US or Canada? Does it maintain collector trust and recognized by most dealers as a legitimate company with legitimate graders? Has it graded conistently for decades? Do their coins maintain their value time and time again at auctions and on bourse floors? I know, I know, I ramble on more than uncle Joe, who has Alzheimers, but the fact is: New collectors and experienced collectors need knowledge to make better investing decisions. I Price my encapsulated coins off of the PCGS website, go take a peek, the REGISTRY set is a hoot! I think NGC has a good one as well. For my beloved Canadian customers, I use the price guide from the CCN, which I feel is the best gauge of the Canadian Numismatic market. My goodness, Pay NOW! What are you doing reading this? If you want to give me a tip, that is ok too! Been dealing in coins, comics, stamps, antiques, and anything else I can hoard or sell since I was filling my diaper.
