186.6 (6 oz). This beautiful 1 Oz Silver coin is the dedicated to an Antique Carousel, which has the ability to create a sense of magic and wonder that stays with us forever. The coin features a magnet that moves the wonderful Carousel miniature, has a great design and comes in an elegant case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of only 1.000 pcs worldwide! The reverse of the coin is designed by Canadian artist Calder Moore beautifully conveys the century-old ambience of an antique carousel, where engraved elements typify its fanciful décor. Imagine the sound of old-time carnival music and the illuminating effect of the carousels lights that are represented by a row of bulbs that line a scalloped rounding board. Two illustrations of horse riders add a touch of vintage art amid the gold-plated, rococo-style scrollwork, which provides the base for an unusual topper: a miniature carousel. Carefully sculpted in outstanding detail, this silver piece is affixed to the coins surface in a way that allows for a rotational movement assisted by a magnet (included). As you turn the magnet to rotate the carousel, the selectively gold-plated horses mimic the up-and-down motion of their real-life counterparts. On the bottom of the reverse, the inscriptions: CANADA the issuing country, 50 DOLLARS the face value and 2018 the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts the Effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: ELIZABETH II the name of the Queen and D. Regina Dei Gratia Regina. Carousel A carousel (American English: from French carrousel and Italian carosello), roundabout (British English), or merry-go-round, is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating circular platform with seats for riders. The seats are traditionally in the form of rows of wooden horses or other animals mounted on posts, many of which are moved up and down by gears to simulate galloping, to the accompaniment of looped circus music. This leads to one of the alternative American names, the galloper. Other popular names are jumper, horseabout and flying horses. Carousels are commonly populated with horses, each horse weighing roughly 100 lbs (45 kg), but may include a variety of mounts, for example donkeys, camels, ostriches, zebras, tigers, pigs, dogs, cats, roosters, rabbits, frogs, deer, bears, lions, giraffes, elephants, or mythological creatures such as dragons or unicorns. Sometimes, chairlike or bench like seats are used and occasionally mounts can be shaped like aeroplanes or cars. The roundabouts or merry-go-rounds installed in playgrounds are usually somewhat different devices: simple, child-powered rotating platforms with bars or handles to which children can cling while riding.
