On the reverse, an engraved flame tops this small-scale replica of the Centennial Flame monument on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario. The 13-sided fountain consists of one panel for every Canadian province and territory, which are represented by their armorial bearings. On the edge of the fountain basin, the province or territory’s floral emblem frames its date of entry into Confederation. An antique finish adds a weathered look that emphasizes the deep sunk relief. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Located on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, the Centennial Flame commemorates Canada’s 100th anniversary as a Confederation. The Flame was first lit as the climax of the centennial celebrations of January 1, 1967, in the presence of then Prime Minister Lester B. He was joined on the hill by leader of the Opposition and former Prime Minister, John Diefenbaker, and Secretary of State, who was in charge of the Centennial, Judy LaMarsh as well as thousands of onlookers. The Flame is fuelled by natural gas and surrounded by a fountain whose ledge contains the shields of Canada’s 13 provinces and territoriesNunavut was originally absent as it was not created until 1999. On December 13, 2017, a Nunavut plaque was unveiled. Our latest engineering feat is a small-scale replica of a famous Canadian landmark: the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill. The latest RCM R&D innovation, instead of ultra high relief, this coin features incuse relief. Deep sunk relief adds dramatic depth to a design that has a minimum thickness of 1.51 mm and a peak relief height of 5.05 mm. Just 2,500 pieces in total production. 2018 50CT FINE SILVER 2oz. COIN 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1943 HALF-DOLLAR(18420)NT

2018 5O-CENT FINE SILVER COIN 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE 1943 HALF-DOLLAR Canadas 50-cent remains a constant, if elusive, collector favourite one whose heraldic design imbues it with a deep sense of tradition and speaks to the history of a proud nation. This exclusive coin looks back at the half-dollar issued in 1943, which is re-created here in pure silver with a celebratory touch of gold plating. DESIGN The reverse features a re-creation of the stylized Arms of Canada designed by G. Kruger-Gray, as it appeared on Canadas 50-cent coin in 1943. At the centre is the Shield, with the royal symbols of Great Britain and France in the upper quadrants: three lions (England), one lion within a double tressure (Scotland), the harp of Tara (Ireland), and three fleur-de-lis (France). In the bottom portion of the Shield, a sprig of three maple leaves represents Canadians of all origins. Two Supporters hold the Shield: on the viewers left, a lion holds a lance with the Union Jack; on the right, a unicorn holds the royal flag of France. Above the Shield is an enlarged version of the Royal Crown, which reflects the monarchy of Canada. Both the rim and the arms are gold-plated, which strikes an elegant contrast between the gleam of gold and the silver shine of the mirror-like background. The selective gold plating continues on the obverse, which features the effigy of George VI by Sir T. SPECIAL FEATURES – A MASTERS CLUB EXCLUSIVE!
