1 oz. Fine Silver Coin, Ultra-High Relief Silver Maple Leaf, 2022

THE FIRST UHR SML! This is the first ultra-high relief (UHR) Silver Maple Leaf (SML) coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. Crafted in 1 oz. Of 99.99% pure silver, this captivating collectible offers a more dimensional view of the SML’s namesake leaf than ever before. The reverse features a peak relief height of 1.4 mm-a feat made possible by the creation of a new coin blank that offers the same precious metal content and affordability as a standard 1 oz. SML, but also allows the sculpted art to reach new heights. The relief was sculpted by retired RCM Senior Engraver Susan Taylor, who worked under the tutelage of the late Walter Ott, RCM Master Engraver and creator of the GML/SML design. Set against a frosted field, the ultra-high relief dazzles thanks to a mirror-like shine that reflects maximum light. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. Mintage – 7,000. Composition – 99.99% pure silver. Finish – Reverse Proof. Weight (g) – 31.6. Diameter (mm) – 36.15. Face value – 20 dollars. The coin will arrive in its original Mint package and condition. I do leave feedback for everyone. This item is in the category “Coins & Paper Money\Coins: Canada\Commemorative”. The seller is “agtoronto” and is located in this country: CA. 2008'Crystal Raindrop' Proof $20 Pure Silver Coin (12331) OOAK

Tiny echoes of rain. From the fresh new growth in spring to their ultimate expression of vibrant fall colour, the leaves of the maple tree enrich the Canadian landscape from coast to coast. In summer, they form a dense canopy that shields against the summer sun-and unexpected rain. When the clouds clear, the leaves shine with renewed vibrancy, their wet surfaces reflecting maximum light from the sun. But this moment of heightened beauty is short-lived. As each leaf bends under the weight of the moisture, water collects at its lowest point and begins to form a water droplet. The droplet is dynamic. It continues to grow until the leaf can no longer support its weight-the leaf bends and for a fleeting moment a tear-shaped drop of water hangs between heaven and earth before falling to the ground a tiny echo of the life-giving rain that passed a few moments earlier. Pictured on the reverse is. “, which means “May the New Found Land Flourish. Own this 70th anniversary tribute to Newfoundland and to a well-loved coinage legacy! A BEAUTIFUL COMMEMORATIVE PIECE! Widely considered to be one of our most beautiful commemorative pieces, the 1949 silver dollar is re-imagined on a 5 oz pure silver coin. LOOK BACK ON OUR PAST! Like pages from our history, a past commemoration is an opportunity to explore the heritage of the Royal Canadian Mint and thank all the people who contributed to its history, from engravers to the production floor. AS FINELY ENGRAVED AS THE ORIGINAL PIECE! FEATURES A HISTORICAL EFFIGY! Only 1,000 coins will be made available worldwide. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. As it appeared on the 1949 silver dollar, the original reverse design by Thomas Shingles commemorates Newfoundland’s entry into Canadian Confederation on March 31, 1949. Beneath the water lies the Latin inscription. VA”-”May the New Found Land Flourish. The obverse features the effigy of King George VI by T. As he had done with the Victory Nickel, Shingles prepared the master tooling for the 1949 Newfoundland Commemorative dollar entirely by hand in the span of just five weeks, carefully carving the design in miniature directly onto the steel matrix. Shingles retired in 1965 but continued to work as an artist, and won the design competition for a 1971 silver dollar that marked the centennial of another province’s entry into Confederation: British Columbia. Commemorative coins weren’t common practice in Canada until the 1960s. Previous to that time, the dollar was the denomination of choice. Most designs were reduced to scale for engraving. In 1949, the typical method was to create a large model of the coin design first, then reduce it using a pantograph engraver-not so for the 1949 silver dollar, which showcases Thomas Shingles’ outstanding skills as an artist and engraver. The 1949 dollars were struck from selected dies to ensure a superior finish. Packaged in plastic or cardboard tubes of 20 to minimize abrasions, the coins entered circulation in late June 1949, with the first ones sent to Newfoundland. Some 1949 dollars were struck in 1950. Due to demand, the decision was made to continue striking the coin in 1950 while retaining the 1949 date. An additional 40,718 pieces were struck in 1950, for a total combined mintage of 672,218. Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded black clamshell with a black beauty box. 99.99% pure silver. Thomas Shingles (reverse), T. 2020 $25 Timeless Icons Polar Bear Pure Silver Piedfort Coin

2020 $25 Timeless Icons Polar Bear Pure Silver Piedfort Coin

2020 $25 Timeless Icons Polar Bear Pure Silver Piedfort Coin

The fourth selectively gold-plated fine silver piedfort in this series. For more than 500 years some European mints have issued small quantities of double thickness “piedfort” coins for nobility, dignitaries and VIP collectors. Mintage is extremely limited at just 4,000. The word “piedfort” literally means “strong foot” in French and appeared centuries ago to mean “heavy measure” in minting. Today, “piedfort” indicates that a coin is thicker than usual. The design by Canadian artist Pierre Leduc carries great meaning by paying tribute to Canada’s evolving history through the two foremost national icons. A transition marks the centre of the field, with classic depictions on the left to represent the nation’s past, and more contemporary versions on the right to represent both the present and beyond. Both icons are resplendent on this coin. Foremost is the polar bear, the majestic animal that symbolizes Canada’s Arctic wilderness. Its front half is texturally detailed, while the back portion transitions into a stylized silhouette that offers a more modern take on this Canadian icon. Behind it is the iconic maple leaf, whose serrated edges and deeply veined lobes are fixtures throughout the design. The left features a more natural and life-like appearance that evokes the reverse of the beloved Silver Maple Leaf (SML) coin, while the right portion places a strong emphasis on symmetry and conveys a sense of strength. Also featured on the reverse are the engraved word “CANADA”, the face value “25 DOLLARS” and the year 2020. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
