This stunning 5 Oz Silver coin is dedicated to the Bumble Bee and to the wild Rose, one of the many flowering plants in Canada that depend on these wondrous little pollinators. The coin features a mechanism that allows the Bee to rotate around the flower, has a Gold Rose and Gold plating and comes along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited worldwide mintage to 1.200 pieces. The reverse of the coin designed by artist Tony Bianco presents a close view of Canadas most common wild rose and the floral emblem of Alberta, Rosa acicularis. The leaves and flowers of this native shrub fill much of the engraved reverse, where the proof finish is as luminous as a bright summer day. The image is topped by two sterling silver-cast elements: a rose gold-plated bloom and a gold-plated bumble bee. Firmly affixed to the coins surface, the five-petal flower is fully opened to expose the pollen-laden anthers that are a food source for pollinating insects. But the moveable bumble bee adds an interactive twist to this dimensional design; using gravitational force, the flying bee is able to circle around the rose whenever the coin is tilted from one side to the other. On top of the reverse, the inscription: CANADA the issuing country. On the bottom, the inscription: 2019 the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: ELIZABETH II – the name of the Queen, D. REGINA Dei Gratia Regina and 50 DOLLARS the face value. Bee A honey bee (or honeybee) is any member of the genus Apis, primarily distinguished by the production and storage of honey and the construction of perennial, colonial nests from wax. In the early 21st century, only seven species of honey bee are recognized, with a total of 44 subspecies, though historically six to eleven species are recognized. The best known honey bee is the Western honey bee which has been domesticated for honey production and crop pollination. Honey bees represent only a small fraction of the roughly 20,000 known species of bees. Some other types of related bees produce and store honey, including the stingless honey bees, but only members of the genus Apis are true honey bees. The study of bees, which includes the study of honey bees, is known as melittology. The item “BUMBLE BEE AND BLOOM 5 Oz Silver Coin 50$ Canada 2019″ is in sale since Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
