He is elaborately dressed in royal garb, and his name and abbreviated title, “GEORGIVUS V DEI GRA REX ET IND IMP, ” which means, King George V, by the Grace of God, King and Emperor of India. Among the reverses, Gustav Hahn designed the one cent piece while MacDonald designed the other two. The five cent piece features a crowned lion holding a maple leaf. The coin with the largest denomination bears the image of the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill along with four bells.
