2013 $250 Canada’s Arctic Landscape Pure Silver Kilo Coin
Mapped by Canadian explorers such as those of the 1913 Canadian Arctic Expedition, the lands, waterways, and continental shelves extending from the Northwest Passage to the nearer North are sovereign Canadian territories that play an important role in the heritage of Canada’s people, geography, and environment. Mintage is limited to 750 coins. The Design: This coin is certified to be 99.99% pure silver with a diameter of 101.8 millimeters and a metal weight of 1000 grams. The reverse design by Canadian artist W. David Ward presents a highly detailed portrait of the north shore of Baffin Island, overlooking Lancaster Sound, at the mouth of the Northwest Passage-a region that evokes the Arctic’s various landscape elements: icebergs, glaciers, mountains, ice plains, and frozen waters. Amid the semi-frozen sea water of Lancaster Sound, dotted with masses of ice, large icebergs float majestically under a cloud-filled sky. In the distance, on both sides of the Sound, jagged glacier-topped mountains rise against the horizon. The reverse features the text “CANADA”. The obverse features the date “2013″, the face value of “250 DOLLARS” and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. This coin is certified to be 99.99% pure silver with a diameter of 101.8 millimeters and a metal weight of 1000 grams. Our items are available for pick-up. No additional information at this time. 2018 Canada $20 Fine Silver Coin From Sea to Sea to Sea Arctic Beluga Whale
The rich diversity of life in the Arctic, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans are an important part of Canada’s maritime heritage. Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, the reverse image peers into the waters off Canada’s northern coast for a glimpse of an iconic marine species. The engraved word “Canada” hangs above a rugged mountain peak, which rises up from the snow and ice-covered shores of the Arctic Ocean. Sweeping over the increasingly shallow water, the breaking swell adds a sense of movement to the design; the motion of the water’s surface also marks a dynamic transition to the underwater realm, where detailed engraving recreates the rock-lined ocean floor. The selective use of gold plating shines the spotlight on three engraved whales: an adult beluga on the left is shown in side profile as it curiously lifts its head above the water, and another lifts its flukes above water while releasing a stream of underwater bubbles from its blowhole, while its curved descent is mimicked by the calf at its side. Mintage: 7,500. Diameter: 38 mm. Weight: 1 oz.

2004 coin, Canada coin, Arctic Fox. 9999 Silver 4-coin Fractional Set (1)
J & M Coin and Jewellery. 2004 Canada Arctic Fox. 9999 Silver 4-coin Fractional Set The Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), also known as the white fox, is found throughout the arctic circumpolar lands of the northern hemisphere. With its compact body form, well-furred ears, and thick hair on the soles of its feet, it is very well adapted to the arctic environment. The white fox feeds mostly on lemmings. It is normally a solitary animal, except during the mating season or when its lured to a feast. Unlike most wild animals, it has little fear of humans and often approaches them to have a closer look. Take home one of the Arctic’s most endearing residents with the 2004 Silver Proof Coins – the first fractional fine silver coins to feature stunning wildlife designs that were originally crafted for platinum proof coins. What’s more, these beautiful silver proof coins were minted using the same conventions that are normally reserved for high-end bullion coins – they are issued in fractions of 1, 1/2, 1/4 and 1/10 oz. Each coin is struck with a different vignette on the life and habitat of the arctic fox – each one an exquisite work of art that first appeared on the Platinum Proof Coins in 1993. For in-person pick-up we also accept cash or Interac. Please wait for us to send you an invoice.
