All four denominations (5, 10, 25, and 50 cents) have been lovingly remembered in this limited edition set. Crafted from 99.99% pure silver and twice its original size, each coin is a modern-day tribute to the past, to a legendary engraver, and to the maple wreath designs that made them distinctly Canadian. Commemorate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s first national coinage with this stunning 4-coin set! For historical authenticity, all four coins feature the 1870 reverse and obverse designs. It’s the perfect complementary piece for your circulation-themed collection! SEVERAL HISTORICAL OBVERSES IN ONE SET! Two different effigies of Queen Victoria are included in this set: the youthful “laureate” and the “diademed” portrait of the Confederation-era monarch. We used modern techniques to recaptures these designsfrom Canada’s past. 99.99% PURE SILVER! These coins have a much higher purity level and silver content than the original coins, and they’re nearlytwice the size too! Your coin set has no GST/HST! Double-dated reverse (“1870 – 2020″) commemorates the milestone 150th anniversary of Canada’s first national coinage. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. All four coins are double dated (“1870 – 2020″) to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Canada’s first national coinage. Each reverse features Leonard C. Wyon’s design of crossed maple boughs surmounted by St. Edward’s Crown, as seen on the four denominations (5, 10, 25 and 50 cents) issued by theDominion of Canada in 1870. The obverse of both the5- and 10-cent coins features the “laureate” effigy of Queen Victoria by Leonard C. Theobverse of the 25- and 50-cent coins features the “diadem” effigy of Queen Victoria by Leonard C. With Confederation, the newly formed Dominionof Canada had inherited a currency system that was a wild mix of private tokens, banknotes, regional denominations and even foreign currency. And the influx of depreciated U. Silver coins (dubbed the “silver nuisance”) made it clear that the Canadian government’s first priority was to introduce a unified system of silver coinage to circulate inall provinces. The master tooling for the 1858 Province of Canada coins were re-purposed for the Dominion’s new 5- and 10-centcoins. But the 25- and 50-cent coins were new denominations for Canada and they required new tooling. Both coins featured a similar reverse design as the 5- and 10-cent coins, but the obverse introduced a new effigy: the “diademed” portrait of a young Queen Victoria by Leonard C. Today, our five-cent coin is bigger and weighs more than the 10-cent coin! The 10-cent coin isn’t the one that changed – its diameter (18.03 mm) hasn’t changed in 150 years. The 50-cent coins issued in 1870 had one of two obverse varieties. This set features the first obverse design (“no LCW”), which doesn’t includedesigner Leonard C. Wyon’s initials L. On the bust truncation. The maple bough arrangement on the 5- and 10- cent coins looks symmetrical, but it actually has 21 leaves: 11 on the left and 10 on the right. A 22-leafwreath was introduced in 1882. Your coins are individually encapsulated and presented in a single Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell with a black beauty box.

J & M Coin and Jewellery. The contemporary-styled design by Patrick Bélanger weaves together a magnificent mix of Canadian icons that have long represented the nation’s spirit. Struck incuse against a proof finish, a flock of Canadian geese take to the skies above the prominent maple leaf. Within this leaf’s pointed edges lies an array of strongly symbolic images: an imposing grizzly bear; a grouping of maple leaves; a mighty caribou, whose call reverberates across the Boreal forests; and a historic coastal landmark, a lighthouse. An overlay of translucent red enamel tints the maple leaf and the engraved elements beneath it, while different frostings create contrast from within. The reverse includes the engraved words “CANADA 2019″ and the face value, “50 DOLLARS”. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Hurry and order yours today before they’re all gone! With a country as vast and beautifully diverse as ours, it is a next-to-impossible task to represent Canada in a single image. So, we’ve gathered several classic icons to show our Canadian pride in a big way! From the stately caribou, whose call reverberates across our Boreal forests, to the grizzly bear, an icon of Canada’s west coast, these are some of the images featured on your 5 oz. Each one has that rare ability to evoke a feeling of affection, of belonging, of home. They remind Canadians that our differences are our greatest strength when we come together under our most iconic symbol of all: that proud, red-coloured maple leaf. A stunning addition to your coin display! 99.99% pure silver. Patrick Bélanger (reverse), Susanna Blunt (obverse). Check out more products in our store. Please wait for us to send you an invoice.

#### Own this silver with simulated turquoise celebration of Iranian Canadian heritage from today to those of Ancient Persia and beyond. Canadians of Iranian heritage can proudly lay claim to a rich tapestry of history, culture, literature and artistic traditions that encompass a wide range of disciplines – from architecture to weaving and metalwork, and so much more. Available in 99.99% pure silver for the first time, the Royal Canadian Mint’s 2024 Celebrating Canada’s Diversity coin incorporates design elements that reflect Iranian cultural traditions, spanning Ancient Persia to contemporary interpretation by an Iranian-Canadian artist, represented by Eslimi patterns and Shah Abbasi flower motifs from traditional carpet designs, lotus flowers inspired by the reliefs of Persepolis, stylized maple leaves symbolizing Canadian identity, and a paisley motif in the centre. These elements come together to surround the simulated turquoise on the coin’s reverse, where the balanced symmetry and circular symbolism are meant to inspire, to urge us to transcend our perceived limits, and to find inner peace and tranquility. New for 2024: A fine silver Celebrating Canada’s Diversity coin. #### COIN HIGHLIGHTS A celebration of Iranian culture. This 99.99% pure silver coin proudly celebrates the rich cultural heritage and history of Iranian Canadians. New for 2024: A fine silver version. Typically minted in 99.99% pure gold, Celebrating Canada’s Diversity is in an annual series that highlights the cultural and historical diversity of Canadian society. For 2024, we’re introducing a 99.99% pure silver version, which shares a similar design (and proof finish) as its gold counterpart. A dazzling addition to your collection. Mintage is limited to 5,500 coins worldwide. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. #### PACKAGING Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell with a beauty box. #### TURQUOISE CENTERPIECE Turquoise figures prominently in Iranian art and architecture, and this is represented by the ornamental stone on your coin’s reverse. The use of simulated turquoise makes this a more affordable alternative to the pure gold coin, which features a genuine turquoise stone. #### RICH SYMBOLISM The engraved design features an elaborate mix of various important cultural symbols representing Iranian Canadians from today to those of Ancient Persia and beyond, including motifs inspired by traditional carpet designs. #### OBVERSE PATTERN The Persepolis lotus flowers from your coin’s reverse repeat on the obverse, where these engraved elements form a captivating background pattern. #### DID YOU KNOW? Turquoise has deep, historic links to Iranian culture, art and even architecture. In Persian it is called piruzeh, meaning victory and believed to offer protection. In Iran, which continues to be an important source of the blue-green gem, turquoise artifacts have been discovered at historical archaeological sites dating back thousands of years. The reverse design by Canadian artist Soheila Esfahani features simulated turquoise surrounded by engraved patterns that celebrate the cultural heritage of Iranian Canadians from today to those of Ancient Persia and beyond. While a paisley motif surrounds the centrepiece, a repeating maple leaf (symbolizing Canadian identity) and lotus flower (inspired by the reliefs of Persepolis) form a continuous circular pattern that also incorporates a Shah Abbasi floral motif and Eslimi patterns from traditional carpet designs. The obverse features a background pattern of the Persepolis lotus flowers, and the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. The obverse also bears a special marking that includes four pearls symbolizing the four effigies that have graced Canadian coins throughout the reign of the Queen, as well as the double dates of her reign. #### ABOUT THE ROYAL CANADIAN MINT The Royal Canadian Mint is known as one of the most reputable mints in the world. The Ottawa Branch of the Royal Mint opened in 1908 and was renamed The Royal Canadian Mint in 1931 when control was transferred to the Canadian government.
