Barrel or no barrel, it is illegal (and dangerous) to deliberately attempt to go over Niagara Falls. A few daredevils have survived, but fish are better suited to taking the plungeand they do! The lighter, more pliable body of a fish is able to withstand the pressure, while air bubbles at the base of the waterfall helps cushion their fall.
