The coin is the second in this year’s Big Coin series and is a recreation of the Canadian Lynx’ 25-cent coin, featuring a bobcat and the second effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Featuring the remastered design of the iconic 1967 Canada 25-cent piece! The obverse features an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This image has been remastered but was originally created in 1965 as the second portrait of Her majesty to appear on Canadian coinage. Making the image unique is the gold-plated embellishments added to the crown and clothing of the Queen. The reverse features a gold-plated bobcat in mid-stride. This image created by artist Alex Colville also appeared on the iconic 1967 Canadian 25-cent piece. Graded Proof 69 Early Releases by NGC! This coin received the fine grade of Proof 69, which describes a coin that has been well-struck and is in near-perfect condition.
