D 99.99% Silver Dollar – coin only! 75th anniversary of VE – day. This listing is for the 2020 Proof Finish GOLD PLATED Silver Dollar produced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2020 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE-day (1945). The dollar has on the reverse the image of celebration by liberated people as well as the gold plated V for Victory symbol and a silhouette of a representative of each of the branches of the military. There is a double date. The rim is also gold plated. The obverse has a beautiful gold plated George VI effigy and victory privy mark–the obverse rim is also gold plated. The diameter is 36.07 mm and the weight is 23.17 grams. Mintage of this special silver dollar is only 15000 minted. This gold plated silver dollar is taken from the pure silver proof set so there is no certificate or packaging. You will receive it in a 2 x 2 cardboard holder (I remove them with tremendous care and cotton gloves). This dollar is in superb shape and is a great commemorative to add to your collection.
