Canada is a country, consisting of ten provinces and t hree territories, in the northern part of the continent of North America. It extends from the Atlantic to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean, covering 9.98 million square kilometres (3.85 million square miles) in total, making it the world’s second-largest country by total area and the fourth-largest country by land area. Canada’s common border with the United States forms the world’s longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated overall, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest and tundra as well as the mountain range of the Rocky Mountains; about four-fifths of the population live near to the southern border. The majority of Canada has a cold or severely cold winter climate, but southerly areas are warm in summer. The land now called Canada has been inhabited for millennia by various Aboriginal peoples. Beginning in the late 15th century, British and French colonies were established on the region’s Atlantic coast. As a consequence of various conflicts, the United Kingdom gained and lost North American territories until left, in the late 18th century, with what mostly comprises Canada today. Pursuant to the British North America Act, on July 1, 1867, three colonies joined to form the autonomous federal Dominion of Canada. This began an accretion of provinces and territories to the new self-governing Dominion. In 1931, Britain granted Canada near total independence with the Statute of Westminster 1931 and full sovereignty was attained when the Canada Act 1982 severed the vestiges of legal dependence on the British parliament. Canada is a federal parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy, Queen Elizabeth II being the current head of state. The country is officially bilingual at the federal level. It is one of the world’s most ethnically diverse and multicultural nations, the product of large-scale immigration from many countries, with a population of approximately 35 million as of 2015. Its advanced economy is the eleventh largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade networks. Canada’s long and complex relationship with the United States has had a significant impact on its economy and culture. Canada is a developed country and one of the wealthiest in the world, with the tenth highest nominal per capita income globally, and the eighth highest ranking in the Human Development Index. It ranks among the highest in international measurements of government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life, economic freedom, and education. Canada is a Commonwealth Realm member of the Commonwealth of Nations, a member of the Francophonie, and part of several major international and intergovernmental institutions or groupings including the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the G8, the Group of Ten, the G20, the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. CANADA – Collection of 70 coins in Dansco Album – 1959 to 1973. On offer here is a lovely type set of Canadian coins issued between 1859 and 1973. A total of 70 different coins, in purpose-built Dansco album #7210 as shown. The album is not quite complete – there are 12 coins missing. Used Dansco Album #7210 (with five pages as issued). More than 50% of the coins included are silver (about 40 coins). Queen Victoria Type Set (missing only one coin). Edward VII Type Set (missing only one coin). George V Type Set (missing 1935 & 1936 dollars). George VI Type Set (missing Maple Leaf issues and two other dollar coins). Elizabeth II Type Set (complete, including six One Dollar coins). Rubbing to edges and front cover, small mark inside front cover and Nikko marks inside back cover (see picture). There is also a small patch of white-out? On the back cover. It seems to come off with scratching. Hinges are in good condition – defects described are relatively minor. All five pages are in lovely condition, without marks or tears. There are 70 coins included in the album and 12 blank slots for the remaining coins. I’ve photographed the front and back of each page outdoors in the sun, so there are shadows and some reflections against the plastic inserts. Some of the smaller coins don’t show up very well in the photos, and for a couple there is a sense that they are in poor shape when indeed they are a lot better than the photos suggest. Victorian and Edward silver are typically lower grades (mostly VG-F) and George V issues are generally Fine or better. George VI and QEII coins are much stronger grades, with some nice Unc dollars and a proof-like 1967 set. Photographs include front & back of each page – if you require photos of a specific coin please ask. A rare opportunity to obtain an almost complete set of coins from Canada – there’s just enough work here to make for an interesting completion project. (However, there is room for additional items). The item “CANADA Type Set in Dansco Album 1859-1973 Incl. Large Silver 70 Coins” is in sale since Saturday, October 16, 2021. This item is in the category “Coins\Coins\Middle East”. The seller is “linwood14″ and is located in Ipswich, QLD. This item can be shipped worldwide.

FULL SET OF 4 COINS IN ONE LARGE PRESENTATION CASE. Bravery of heroes, in its purest form, is the willingness to save anothers life despite personal risk and to serve the community they are sworn to protect with dignity and integrity. With this memorable set of 4 coins the Royal Canadian Mint celebrates the following everyday heroes. Who face danger in the line of duty yet remain steadfast in their commitment and dedication to helping others. For their commitment to save lives and reduce suffering in the communities they serve. Who risk their own lives to bring the order and protect our lives and property. Who devote their lives to duty as they fight for the ideals and freedoms we hold dear, serving at home and abroad in the quest for peace and security. ALL COINS ARE IN. AND HOUSED IN ONE SPECIAL MINT-ISSUED HIGH-QUALITY LARGE PRESENTATION CASE, PROTECTED BY A BLACK OUTER CARTON BOX. EACH COIN COMES WITH SERIALIZED COA (NUMBERS WILL VARY). The obverse of each coin shows the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, facing right. The reverse designs of the coins in the set include. The reverse design by Canadian artist Ken Ryan uses selective color over engraving to create a timeless portrait of a firefighter in the line of duty. In the engraved background, flames and smoke pour out of a residential home as the firefighter emerges in the foreground; he is depicted in full turnout gear, including a red helmet with visor and a tan-colored jacket with reflective yellow-green and silver trim. Beneath the visor, the firefighters self-contained breathing apparatus is visible this protects him from the dangers of exposure and smoke inhalation in a fiery environment. In his right hand, the firefighter holds the bolt cutters that help him enter the burning building to search for any trapped occupants; his left hand cradles a dog he has rescued from inside the home and is carrying to safety. The reverse design by Canadian artist Ken Ryan uses selective color over detailed engraving in this snapshot of paramedics in action. Engraved in the background is a rear view of an ambulance, its doors open wide just moments after arriving at a hospitals ambulance bay. In the foreground, vibrant color highlights the paramedics in their dark uniforms, complete with bright yellow and silver reflective bands just below the knees. Their faces are intent and convey the pressing nature of their important role; they are quick to unload the yellow-colored stretcher from the ambulance before rushing toward the building, which will allow the patient to receive the continuum of medical care she desperately needs. The reverse design by Canadian artist Ken Ryan uses selective color over detailed engraving in this detailed rendition of a police officer in action. Engraved in the background is an iconic police car parked on the side of a paved roadway, at the edge of an open space where a few trees dot the rolling landscape. Selective color brings to life the dark blue uniform of the police officer in the foreground, along with the red striping on the pants and the band around the peaked police cap. Responding to a crime in progress, the officer sprints into action with right hand stretched towards the equipment belt that is within easy reach, while the left hand brings a whistle to the officers lips. The reverse design by Canadian artist Ken Ryan uses selective color over engraving to create a portrait of bravery in action. In the engraved background, trees and branches hang overhead in this woodland setting, where military helicopters are taking part in rescue operations in an area of conflict. In the foreground, an infantry soldier in combat clothing extends his hand and reaches out to help the viewer, almost pulling us into the dynamic design, while the other gloved hand keeps a tight grip on the rappelling rope. The red-and-white colors of the Canadian flag patch on the upper left sleeve stand out against the green, brown and black camouflage pattern on the helmet and uniform, while the soldier keeps his expression intently focused on the dangerous situation at hand. 23.17 g x 4. 99.99% Fine Silver.
