2018′Newfoundland WWI Allied Forces’ Proof $20 Fine Silver Coin (18542) OOAK

2018'Newfoundland WWI Allied Forces' Proof $20 Fine Silver Coin (18542) OOAK

FIRST WORLD WAR ALLIED FORCES: NEWFOUNDLAND. Before we were one nation, we were brothers-in-arms. The second coin in our First World War Allies series highlights Newfoundland’s wartime contributions as an independent dominion during the First World War. Paired with an image that defines heroism, the gold-plated insignia of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment speaks of valour and sacrifice in places like Monchy-Le-Preux and Beaumont-Hamel. The reverse image by Canadian artist Pandora Young places the viewer at the heart of the action during the First World War, in the muddy trenches that defined the war on the Western Front. Multiple finishes give the engraved design a sense of depth as a crowd of soldiers of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment rush to the ladders and go over the top. Not one soldier looks back – all eyes are focused on the climb and what lays ahead; it is a testament to the heroic fighting spirit of Newfoundlanders who, time after time, mustered their courage and placed themselves in harm’s way in the name of the Allied cause. Selective gold plating highlights the regimental insignia of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment, which features a woodland caribou defiantly facing the enemy. The selectively gold-plated obverse features the effigy of King George V by Sir E. SECOND IN A FOUR-COIN SERIES: As we approach the 100th anniversary of the Armistice of 11 November 1918, this four-coin series reflects on the wartime contributions of select Allied forces who were united in a common cause and bound by heroism and duty. FOUR ALLIES, ONE LAST PUSH: Like Canada, Newfoundland was an independent dominion during the First World War; the second coin in our First World War Allies series highlights the tremendous wartime contributions and sacrifices of Newfoundlanders. THE IMAGE OF HEROISM: The scene on the reverse features an outstanding amount of engraved details! Multiple finishes add a sense of depth to a poignant design, which showcases the courageous spirit of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment in the trenches that were a defining experience of the Great War. SELECTIVE GOLD PLATING: Like all coins in this limited series, selective gold plating adds a fitting gleam to the regimental insignia of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. FOR KING AND COUNTRY: Selective gold plating also highlights the effigy of King George V; otherwise, the obverse resembles that of all Canadian coins issued during the First World War. COLLECT ALL 4 COINS FOR THE COMPLETE STORY! It’s a touching memorial to all the combatants-one that goes beyond borders to put a face on the Great War. Composition: 99.99% Fine Silver. Weight(g): 31.39. Packaging: Standard maroon clamshell with black beauty box. Finished Size: 37 mm X 67 mm. Advertising Date: June 26, 2018. Launch Date: June 5, 2018. 2016′The Universe #2′ Proof $20 Fine Silver Coin (17508) OOAK

2016'The Universe #2' Proof $20 Fine Silver Coin (17508) OOAK

Canadian amateur astronomers using the Burke-Gaffney Observatory made a remarkable discovery in 1995 when they identified a supernova in a galaxy about 70 million light years away-the first such discovery made from within Canada. Such a powerful and colourful explosion is a rare celestial event, as the dying star expires in a burst of bright light and expelled energy; it is a truly breathtaking sight to behold, one of great ethereal beauty in a universe that still holds so many secrets! The engraved reverse by Canadian artist Joel Kimmel re-creates the dome of the Burke-Gaffney Observatory located at Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where a student looks through the observatory’s telescope. Against the softly coloured glow of a clear, star-filled night sky, a unique glass insert captures the otherworldly beauty of a supernova crafted by borosilicate artist Loïc Beaumont-Tremblay. The crystal-clear globule of boro glass contains an opal that represents the dying star, which is meticulously positioned over a darkly coloured background and surrounded by wisps of swirled glass and glow-in-the-dark colours. There is a remarkably luminous quality to the insert that conveys this stellar explosion of light and energy, which could easily outshine the glow of its own galaxy-even if only temporarily. An unforgettable combination of detailed engraving and vibrant colour, with a handcrafted borosilicate glass insert combined with glow-in-the-dark glass that makes each coin truly unique! Added luminescence within the glass captures the lights and colours associated with a supernova-a stunning effect that also adds a shine to the reverse’s star-filled sky. An outstanding keepsake for stargazers, astronomers, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who has ever marvelled at the beautiful mysteries of the universe. A celebration of the Burke-Gaffney Observatory’s distinction as one in a select group of observatories to have discovered a supernova, which is a source of pride for the passionate stargazers of Atlantic Canada. With its innovative features, its beautifully rendered artistic design and a limited mintage of only 8,500 coins worldwide, this coin is sure to be sought after. Composition 99.99% pure silver. Weight (g) 31.39. Finish Proof, color and borosilicate glass. Artist Joel Kimmel and Loïc Beaumont-Tremblay. Finished size 88 mm x 88 mm. LAUNCH DATE: November 3, 2015. 2018’30th Ann. Of the Silver Maple Leaf’ Prf $200 Fine Gold Coin(18523) (OOAK)

2018'30th Ann. Of the Silver Maple Leaf' Prf $200 Fine Gold Coin(18523) (OOAK)

30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SILVER MAPLE LEAF. It has been 30 years since our Silver Maple Leaf (SML) bullion coin made its debut, yet its signature design still resonates with investors and collectors worldwide. In honour of the SMLs 30th anniversary, this exquisite tribute lifts the bullion coins iconic maple leaf off its engraved reverse and gently deposits it here as a 3D design element. The reverse is adorned with an iconic maple leaf that has been a fixture on the Silver Maple Leaf (SML) bullion coin since 1988. But the star of the coin is the silver-cast maple leaf; highly intricate casting reproduces each. Lobes sharply pointed edges and the deeply imprinted veins that give this undulated leaf a natural look and feel, as though it has gently come to rest after tumbling down from a tree. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. A 2D DESIGN MAKES THE JUMP TO 3D: A special celebration to mark the 30-year history of our Silver Maple Leaf (SML) bullion coin, whose familiar design is re-imagined in more dimensional detail than ever. A MINT FIRST (AND SECOND): This is only the second coin to feature high intricacy casting, but the FIRST to feature a silver-cast element on its reverse. SILVER AND GOLD: The design offers the best of both worlds: a 99.9percent pure silver-cast maple leaf affixed to the surface of a 99.99percent pure gold coin. REVERSE-PROOF FINISH: Like the SML, this gold coin also features a reverse proof finish, which heightens the polished shine of the silver-cast leaf that has been securely affixed to the coins surface. FIRST-CLASS CRAFTSMANSHIP: High intricacy casting gives the maple leaf more dimension. And depth than otherwise possiblefrom the pointed edges to the controlled flow of silver. That gives the leaf an undulated appearance. A HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL FROM START TO FINISH: A very low mintage makes this an exclusive collecting opportunity! To complement the exquisite design and craftsmanship, this first-class collectible is encapsulated and carefully enclosed in a luxurious wooden case, which further adds to the overall appeal. Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games 1-Kilo Silver Coin Canada’s diverse and abundant wildlife play the central role in the coin’s design: a grizzly bear with a salmon in its mouth to represent the west coast, a plains bison for the prairies, a moose and a beaver for the central and eastern regions and a wolf and caribou for the north. The First Peoples are represented in this design, both as individuals and through their distinctive building forms which were influenced by the geography, climate and the available building materials: the totem pole is found on the left side of the coin and represents the West Coast, the tipi is placed centrally in the design to represent the prairies, the wigwam is placed to the right side of the coin to represent Eastern Canada, and the inukshuk of the North is placed near the top of the design. This coin design also displays Canada’s rugged geography. The left side of the coin represents the West Coast with both ocean and mountains, while centrally the design conveys both Prairies and inland waters. To the right side of the coin is the rugged East Coast Ocean which then transforms into the barren lands of the North.
