Artists – Tony Bianco (reverse), Susanna Blunt (obverse). Finely crafted in 99.99% pure silver, every element of this coin has been designed with Masters Club members in mind. Nearly the entire mintage of 6,000 coins was been reserved for Masters Club members. Precision engraving captures the likeness of the orcas in extraordinary detail as part of an overall design that is brimming with depth, movement, and energy! SECOND SCALLOP-SHAPED MASTERS CLUB EXCLUSIVE COIN! This is the second product in a series of EXCLUSIVE coins planned for Masters Club using the unique scallop shape! PERCENTAGE RESERVED FOR MASTERS CLUB MEMBERS! 90% of the mintage reserved for Masters Club for 45 days only! The coin is beautifully presented in a Royal Canadian Mint branded wooden box made of maple, lined with black flocking, and including a removable insert and special certificate compartment. Each coin includes a serialized certificate! LOW MINTAGE: Only 6,000 coins. Designed by Canadian artist Tony Bianco, the coin features a superb engraved portrait of a pod of orcas in the waters off Canada’s Pacific Coast. The unique perspective places the viewer at the heart of the action alongside these masters of the sea, with a side-profile view of the orcas above and below the water. Facing toward the left side of the coin, the orcas’ famously contrasting colors are conveyed through the use of various finishing techniques, ensuring each orca is clearly distinct from the others within the tight-knit group. The underwater bubbles and wavy waterline add to the sense of movement, power and energy, while the different sizes of the meticulously engraved orcas provides evidence of the strong family bonds within this pod. Three of the orcas are depicted at various stages of porpoising at the surface; with tall dorsal fins rising in the air, they break out of the water to soar above it before plunging underwater in a continuous motion. Meanwhile, an adult and a calf swim beneath the waterline, which stretches from one side of the coin’s scallop-shaped edge to the other. Each coin is beautifully presented in a Royal Canadian Mint branded wooden box, lined with black flocking, and including a removable insert and special certificate compartment. The wooden box is protected by a graphic beauty box. So our costs for Canadian coins also vary from day to day. Unsearched All of the coins offered in this listing are unsearched. Many coin dealers search all coins when they are received from the Mint. They “cherry-pick” the best coins. Then submit them to be graded, certified, and slabbed by PCGS, NGC, ANACS, etc. When a dealer searches coins, those that they sell in original Mint packaging are only lesser quality coins. Photos: When a listing offers multiples of the same coin, one coin is picked at random and photographed. Since all coins offered in that listing are essentially identical, the coin photographed is representative of all coins offered. Surface areas that appear black on some proof coin photos are actually highly polished, mirror-bright metal reflecting the color of the camera. We often include proof coin photos with the coin slightly tilted to better depict the mirror bright surfaces. However, tilting the coin may resulting one side being slightly out of focus. Whenever possible, we use actual photos of our coins, rather than just stock artwork from the Mint. We frequently update and upgrade the photos that appear with our listings, using improved cameras and lenses and better lighting. We will honor your requests for additional photos as quickly as our schedule permits. Canada 2014 $20 Interconnections Sea The Orca 1 oz. Pure Silver Hologram Coin

Pure Silver Hologram Coin. All coins offered in this listing are unsearched! (see Additional Information below). All of our Canadian coins are acquired directly from the Royal Canadian Mint – The counterfeiting of numismatic coins, and the sale of stolen coins, are serious problems for coin collectors and dealers. Unlike many other coin dealers. To protect against these risks, we do not sell’second-hand’ coins. All of our Canadian coins are stored in a climate controlled, smoke-free vault. Composition – 99.99% pure silver. Weight (g) 31.39 (one troy ounce). Certificate serialized (serial numbers will vary). Face value – 20 dollars (a legal tender Canadian coin). Artists Andy Everson (reverse), Susanna Blunt (obverse). Canada’s three natural realms of land, sky, and sea mingle in a landscape of unmatched grandeur. Similarly, its people – First Nations and modern inhabitants alike – though culturally distinct, overlap within this landscape in a unique experience of shared history and nationhood. With this coin, the Royal Canadian Mint continues a series of 1-ounce silver hologram coins that celebrate this interconnectedness through the stunning artwork of West Coast artist Andy Everson. A beautiful gift for someone who enjoys First Nations art! This 1-ounce 99.99% pure silver coin is part of the Royal Canadian Mint’s unique 3-coin hologram series featuring the striking artwork of celebrated Canadian artist Andy Everson. This series celebrates interconnections within the natural world, between Canadians and their landscape, and among Canada’s multicultural people. This coin, dedicated to the theme of Air, adopts an orca as its central motif while ingeniously incorporating Canada’s four seasons. In keeping with the theme, each element of the design blends into the next. The coin’s hologram treatment perfectly highlights this sense of connection and transition. The entire reverse side of this stunning Royal Canadian Mint coin is struck as a hologram. The dynamic design uses rainbow-colored transitional images atop duo-tone rays to bring motion and light to the beautifully designed reverse image. A K’ómoks First Nation drummer, ceremonial dancer, and artist, Andy Everson is an innovative artist whose arresting images blend traditional, modern, and even pop culture motifs. With a limited mintage of only 7,500, this coin is sure to be sought after by collectors. An exceptional gift and distinguished collectible for those who love fine art, unique coins, First Nations themes, and Canadiana. For our Canadian customers, this coin is GST/HST exempt! The reverse image by Canadian artist Andy Everson presents the theme of Sea. Its central motif is an orca, stylized in the tradition of Everson’s K’ómoks and Kwakwaka’wakw ancestors. The entire reverse is a full-color hologram, lending movement and light to this highly symbolic image. It is highly fitting that an artist representative of the traditional guardians of Vancouver Island’s eastern Land of Plenty would design a series celebrating the connection between land, sea, air, and the people whose lives overlap within this environment. Gedzi Everson is a member of British Columbia’s K’ómoks First Nation. Through dance, drumming, and art, Everson honors the traditions of his K’ómoks and Kwakwaka’wakw ancestors. He has travelled internationally as a ceremonial dancer, sharing First Nations traditions. It was through ceremonial dance that Everson began his first serious forays into art, designing pieces for potlatches. Today, he is known for his bold, eye-catching, and thought-provoking designs that often meld traditional motifs with references from popular culture. This coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clam-shell protected by a black beauty box. Are also available for an additional charge. Check out my other items. Artists – Pierre Leduc (reverse), Susanna Blunt (obverse). The orca is one of the planet’s most unique social mammals. Only elephants and higher primates have societies that are as complex and robust as that of the orca. This marine mammal’s social structure reveals familial bonds, modes of communication, hunting habits, and other practices that are passed on for generations. This complexity has led some researchers refer to as a culture. This coin is the 5th in the O Canada 1 oz. The coin portrays the orca in exquisite detail against the backdrop of the Canada’s Northwest Pacific coast -part of Canada’s distinct landscape. Struck in 99.99% fine silver. This coin was designed by Canadian artist Pierre Leduc. It presents an adult female orca and her young calf swimming near a rocky outcropping on the ocean floor. The mother’s distinctive rounded rostrum (snout) and light markings are presented with expert engraving, highlighting characteristic light spots above the orca’s eye, on the lower jaw, and at the midpoint of her body both at her belly and behind her dorsal fin. Her powerful tail bends to propel her through the water, its bright underside visible. Bubbles rise from the blowhole atop her head. Beside her the young calf, that bears the same markings as its mother, swims comfortably, bubbles also rising from its blowhole. In the foreground of the image we see a rocky outcropping from the ocean floor populated by various sea grasses. Stylized line-work and expert engraving perfectly capture the sense of depth and buoyancy of the underwater image. Each coin is encapsulated and presented in a maroon clamshell case lined with flock and protected by a customized beauty box. Are also available for an additional charge. Check out my other items.
