9999 5oz Fine Silver Coin – Beaver – Royal Canadian Mint – NEW. This is one of the most attractive and artistic coins we have seen from the RCM this year. With the large 5 ounce format and limited mintage of just 1500 pieces, we expect this coin will sell out quickly. This 50-Dollar coin is certified to be 99.99% pure silver with a diameter of 65 millimetres and a metal weight of 5 ounces. The reverse design by Canadian artist Emily Damstra features a portrait of a beaver family, its members immersed in the work of felling trees for their dam, lodge, and food cache. On the left side of the image, a large beaver stands upright, hard at work chewing the trunk of a birch tree with its sharp incisors. Wood shavings cover the ground beneath the beaver’s feet and around the base of the tree. The beaver itself stands on its back paws, counterbalanced by its large flat tail, holding the tree trunk with its dextrous front claws. Its small ears, eyes, and nose-which can seal themselves under water-are rendered in fine detail. On the right side of the image, behind and to the side of the upright beaver, another adult beaver and small kit work on either side of a felled log, trimming away bark and preparing the log for use. On the extreme left of the image, the base of this felled tree is visible. The background of the image reveals a large pond backed by mountainous forest. The beavers’ food cache emerges from the centre of the pond. The image occupies the entire reverse field and is engraved with the word “CANADA, ” the date “2013, ” and the face value of 50 DOLLARS. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Royal Canadian Mint Coin. Composition : 99.99% Pure Silver. Face Value: Fifty Dollars. Weight (g) 157.6. J & M Coin and Jewellery. This flower will bloom forever with this coin’s stunning show of crimson glass. Murano glass dates back to 8th century Rome. At the time, glass was a luxury reserved strictly for the rich, and glassmakers enjoyed the same status as the aristocracy. This glass poinsettia has all the prestige that makes Murano one of the greatest glass producers of the world. Its delicate and airy form was individually blown with a sprinkling of gold foil for an added touch of Holiday sparkle. Shimmering from the surface of this extra-large coin, this breathtaking flower will captivate long after the potted poinsettia has faded away. Canadian artist Marie-Élaine Cusson has created a beautiful and finely detailed backdrop to showcase this coin’s beautiful Murano glass to full effect. Six deeply veined leaves frame the red glass poinsettia with sprigs of pine needles, ferns and holly berries filling the gaps to create a vibrant, festive feel-all punctuated by the shimmering gold foil embedded in the glass. Diameter: 65.25 mm. Weight: 157.6 grams. Bullion Weight: 5.059 Troy Ounces. Obverse: Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse: Murano Glass Poinsettia. Monarch: Queen Elizabeth II. J & M Coin and Jewellery. They were specially chosen for Canada’s circulation coins in 1927, to commemorate Confederation’s Diamond Jubilee; alas, the stunning designs never made it onto a. Instead, “the coins that never were” quietly faded into the background, becoming part of coin lore and a footnote in history… That is, until now. Nearly a century later, we’ve dug deep into our vault to retrieve these long forgotten coin designs and bring them to life! This three-coin set is more than a link to Canada’s past, or a powerful tribute to the illustrious artists -it’s our way of taking up their mantle and seeing their vision through. Working with the original sketches and little else, weset out to interpret the 90-year-old designs. And by treating them as though they were entrusted to ustoday, we’ve transformed these designs into apowerful bridge between past and present. All three coins feature the unused circulation coin designs intended to commemorate Canada’s Diamond Jubilee in 1927. Working with the original sketches (and little else), the Royal Canadian Mint’s engravers set out to interpret each artist’s vision as though the art had been entrusted to them today, to mark Confederation’s 150th anniversary. The 90-year-old concepts have been painstakingly adapted for modern engraving techniques-including a reverse proof finish that allows the more brilliant engraved elements to shine bright againstthe matte backdrop. The five-cent coin by Canadian artist J. A second design by MacDonald graces the reverse of the25-cent coin, and centres on a soaring view of theiconic Peace Tower on Parliament Hill. The clock tower soars high above the clouds and is surrounded by a ribbon-wrapped laurel of leaves, from which hangs four bells-an ode to the Dominion Carillon, which was inaugurated on July 1, 1927, during the Diamond Jubilee festivities. Each bell bears engraved numbers that combine to form the commemorative dates “2017″ and “1867″. 99.99% pure silver. Emanuel Otto Hahn (reverse), Sir E. Brand New in Original mint condition. Comes with mint box and COA. Free S&H in US. The most revered of all the British Crown Jewels, the rarely seen coronation crown inspired this coin’s reverse. It is the revered symbol of royal authority, history and tradition. Edward’s Crown is only worn once in a monarch’s reign and only at the very moment of crowning-the moment when the historic headpiece is reverently placed upon the new sovereign’s head, marking the culmination of accession. Its crosses pattée inspired this fine silver coin’s reverse, where the embellishment that resembles the cross is regally plated with gold and adorned with coloured glass stones. A stone-adorned nod to the coronation crown. The centrepiece of the British Crown Jewels, the centuries-old St. Edward’s Crown used to crown Queen Elizabeth II in 1953, and now His Majesty King Charles III in 2023 inspired this extraordinary fine silver collectible. A satin field ensures all eyes are on the crown-inspired design. Mintage is limited to 6,000 coins worldwide. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. Your coin is individually encapsulated and presented in a black Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell case with a black beauty box. This artistic interpretation of the iconic cross pattée is adorned with colourful glass stones that stand in beautifully for some of the crown’s precious and semi-precious stones. Gold plating adds a regal shine to the reverse design, where the specially shaped embellishment is a representation of the crown’s distinctive cross. Edward’s Crown is exclusively used to crown British sovereigns and is only worn once in a reign. It is rarely removed from the Tower of London, meaning this representation of its front cross pattée may be the closest you’ll get to the real thing. Canada’s Polar Bear expands its appearance of grandeur on this huge low mintage 2018 pure silver “Big Coin”. The popularity of this series is easy to understand. In addition to their impressive appearance with a 65 mm diameter, proof finish and selective rose gold plating, collectability is strongly supported by the extremely low mintage, which has been reduced this year to just 1,500 (from the mintage of 2,150 in 2017). The coins are also widely viewed as the highest quality annual coin set in Canada, with each coin representing the very best and lowest mintage example of the denomination. While a regular 2 dollar coin has a diameter of 28 mm and a weight of just 6.92 grams in base metal, this two dollar has a diameter of 65 mm and has a weight of over 155 grams, or 5 ounces, in pure silver. This is about equal the weight of 22 regular two dollars. The coin is double or triple struck to ensure fine detail and a near flawless surface, while the design is further enhanced with selective rose coloured gold plating on both sides, highlighting the coin’s main design and the effigy of the queen. As a pure silver coin produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is GST/HST exempt. One of Numismatic Expert Steven Bromberg’s PICKS OF THE YEAR. Here’s why: -Huge impressive looking beautiful coin with a 65 mm diameter -Extremely low mintage of just 1,500 -Previous issues have increased in value -Struck in 5 ounces of pure fine silver -Striking contrast of selective rose gold plating against the brilliant silver textured fields -HST/GST exempt.
