Proof Silver Maple Leaf – Maple Leaf Shape. The Royal Canadian Mint never fails to supply collectors with new and unique coins. This is proven again with this world first – a Maple leaf shaped coin! Silver coin is shaped as a maple leaf, and is nearly a cut-out of the design on the standard Canadian Silver Maple leaf coin. As is standard with RCM, it is struck out of. 9999 fine silver, with a very detailed design. The individual veins of the maple leaf can be seen snaking through the leaf, provided intricate detail which makes it stand out even further. This is seen inscribed on the reverse of the coin: 20 DOLLARS, as well as 2015. On the obverse is inscribed CANADA, ELIZABETH II, and D. These inscriptions encircle Susanna Blunts portrait of the Queen of England. These item has been graded by NGC. They were examined under magnification, and their condition was determined to be a grade of Proof 70 Ultra Cameo! This is actually the highest grade a proof coin can receive. The Ultra Cameo designation means that the item has such a contrast between its frosted and mirrored portions, that it appears nearly black and white! Precious metals markets are fluid.
