The varying shades of red, yellow and orange colours add a life-like quality to your unforgettable piece of engraved art. Masterfully captures the beauty of Canada’s national emblem in the autumn landscape. At four inches, your coin’s large diameter presents the perfect-sized canvas for the outstanding level of technical precision and detailing that bring this striking artistic design to life! 99.99% PURE SILVER! With a limited mintage of only 500 coins worldwide! Designed by Canadian artist Julius Csotonyi, your coin features outstanding full colour over the engraved depiction of a maple leaf, which is seen here as part of Canada’s stunning autumn landscape. In a wooded area, the cool autumn breeze has already caused brightly coloured maple leaves to tumble down to the ground. Each leaf is brought to life through careful engraving and a vibrant mix of red, yellow, orange and green colours; these give the leaf pile a natural look and feel while providing a colourful backdrop to the fallen tree. Detailed engraving masterfully recreates the rough texture of the fissured bark, upon which lays the beloved Canadian icon: a maple leaf. It, too, is resplendent in full colour against the muted colours of the tree trunk, while shadows subtly infuse the breathtaking design with a sense of light, depth and dimension. Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded wood case with a graphic beauty box that compliments the coin’s design. 2012 Edition – 1200 Mintage. A collecting opportunity not to be missed! This numismatic tribute to Canadas treasured national symbol was launched last year with a coin crafted in an astounding one kilogram of fine silver (99.99% pure). Its a breakthrough innovation we first brought to the world in 2007, and year after year proved to be one of the most sought-after acquisitions among collectors. Special features: 1 kg of fine silver (99.99% pure). Limited to 1,200 coins worldwide. Serrated edge and image relief adds to your coins uniqueness. The field (flat background) has a highly hand polished mirror-like finish. Design: A trilogy of maple leaves; the spirit of Canadas national flag echoed in the leaf proudly centered in the foreground. Inspired by the iconic maple leaf design that has graced Canadas one-cent circulation coin since 1937. Packaging: Each coin is encapsulated and presented in a handsome Canadian maple wood box lined with black flock and protected by a customized sleeve. Fine Silver Hologram Coin – A Story of the Northern Lights: Howling Wolf – Mintage: 8500 (2014). Of respondents would recommend this to a friend. One of A kind (12). Pricey / poor value (8). Gift for child (4). Quality driven (21), Budget shopper (4). Was this a gift? No (25), Yes (4). Reviewed by 30 customers. One Of A Kind. Great coin and comes in a great storage box. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful? You may also flag this review. As a collector, I found the hologram effects to be a bit lacking. I was expecting more from such a pricey coin. Other than that, the overall representation of the howling wolf and the Northern Lights is very eye-catching. Customers found this review helpful. No Cons-the Perfect Coin. The holographic effect is stunning. Just in time as it turns out. I cannot understand why some complain about the poor holographic effect. My coin is flamboyant under natural and artificial light. Maybe there is some spread during minting. The value and quality of this coin is (to me) much higher than that of any colored one. I hope that it will not tarnish for a long time, because I fear that the oxidation will destroy the effect. The only con: poor artistic image of the wolf. The front legs seem out of proportion (too thin). Hard To See Hologram. Beautiful design though have to hold the coin up to the light to really see the Hologram effect. A most Beautiful Coin. A Lover Of Art, Quality Driven. This is a Gift for my son. He loves wolves and this coin is perfect because not only is it a beautiful Wolf but the hologram effect of the Northern Lights is stupendous. Keep up the good work RCM. Bargain Hunter, Quality Driven. It’s a Beauty, Eh! Lovely addition to collection. After having read other comments about not being able to see the colors & knowing that it’s probably just how it was being held I took a chance and bought this coin. It’s not in-your-face color as some may have liked it to be. It’s more subtle but you can see various colors which come alive as you turn the coin. Love the wolf/northern lights theme. Comes in plastic encasement presented in a a nice little hinged box with cert. Possibly will give this as gift to a nephew. Canadian Collector, Quality Driven. Great Addition To The Col. It’s so awesome to see the shimmering Aurora Borealis as I turn the coin in the light. Another remarkable product of the Royal Canadian Mint. Hologram not as visible as in the pictur. Not sure if a quality issue but cannot get the colours as per the picture -? No, I would not recommend this to a friend. Do you have questions about this product? 2010 Kilo Silver Coin (Olympics) The Eagle. 9999 Fine ANTIQUE No Tax (12600)

An eagle soaring overhead is an inspiring sight. For First Nations people, the eagle is a symbol of power, peace and prestige. Countless legends have been told about this magnificent bird, which is still abundant in the Pacific Northwest and continues to inspire contemporary Aboriginal artists in much the same way it did their ancestors. The eagle is an important clan crest and is often the subject of totems, masks, prints and jewellery. Its feathers are considered sacred and are often an important part of ancient ceremonies, used to waft incense smoke around individuals during prayer, and given to honour individual acts of courage or wisdom. The eagles down feathers are equally valued and are sprinkled on the ground to greet important visitors to the tribe – a fitting symbol as Vancouver, British Columbia welcomes the world to the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. 2015 Kilo'In The Eyes of the Cougar' $250 Silver Coin. 9999 Fine (NT) (16975)

Few would contest the cougars reputation as a stealthy hunter that relies on its keen senses to survive in remote areas of western Canada. Its exceptional vision is uniquely adapted to allow the cougar to hunt its prey during any time of day a feature that is beautifully showcased in this coin. The reverse image by Canadian artist Glen Loates offers a close-up portrait of the cougar (Felis concolor). Here, the shy predators piercing gaze is decidedly fixed upon the viewer as though each one is studying the other. But the selective use of coloured enamel ensures the female cougars eyes are the images focal point; the distinctive greenish hue recreates the light-reflective qualities of the animals eyes, which are protected from the bright light conditions by the contracted pupils. The large cats facial features are also rendered in fine detail, from its short fur to its visible whiskers and attentive ears. A unique opportunity to get a close view of a cougar a formidable predator that relies on its exceptional vision to capture its prey. This finely detailed rendering of the cougars facial features exemplify the Royal Canadian Mints internationally renowned artistry and craftsmanship. Part of a continuing series that celebrates the distinctive eyes of some of Canadas renowned wildlife. A remarkable addition to any Canadiana- or wildlife-themed collection.
