2019 – Canadian Circulation Collection – Pure Silver Coloured 6-Coin Set with Medallion. See 2018 version here. Canada’s circulation coins are a familiar part of our everyday lives. This set showcases the original designs in stunning proof quality with colour enhancement, with an exclusive silver medallion featuring the iconic bullion Maple Leaf known throughout the world as a symbol of pride, security, and quality. A must-have 2019 Canadian circulation 99.99% pure silver 6-coin set with medallion! TWO DIFFERENT FINISHES ON YOUR MEDALLION! The unique medallion features the familiar Maple Leaf design used on Canadian bullion coins since 1979, in two different finishes; proof on the reverse, reverse proof on the obverse. The Gold Maple Leaf was the first Maple Leaf bullion coin, followed by the Silver Maple Leaf and Platinum Maple Leaf in 1988, as well as the Palladium Maple Leaf in 2005. The medallion has been enhanced with numismatic finishes instead of the typical bullion radial line background. CANADIAN THEMES AND IMAGERY! Canada’s circulation coin designs date back as far as 1937 and highlight uniquely Canadian themes and imagery. STUNNING MIRROR PROOF FINISH! The proof coins have been struck at lower speed than standard circulation coins to produce a stunning mirror proof finish, which has been accented with rich colour. The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coin sets. 99.99% PURE SILVER! Your coins and medallion are crafted from 99.99% pure silver! LOW WORLDWIDE MINTAGE: Only 7,000 coin sets will be made available worldwide. The medallion features the iconic Maple Leaf design found on Canadian Silver, Gold, Platinum and Palladium Maple Leaf bullion coins. The original maple leaf design was created by Walter Ott, a Royal Canadian Mint engraver. 99.99% pure silver coin designs. Canada’s two-dollar coin, launched in 1996, features a polar bear, one of the world’s largest terrestrial carnivores which can weigh up to 650 kilograms. It lives near the cold seas and frozen ice of Canada’s far-north. Launched in 1987, the reverse of the one-dollar coin represents a common loon swimming against the rugged backdrop of the Canadian Shield. The loon’s haunting calls are one the quintessential sound of the Canadian wilderness in summer. Canada’s Coat of Arms. The Canadian Coat of Arms, proclaimed in 1921 and modified in 1996, reminds Canadians of our diverse heritage. It features images from France (the fleur-de-lis), England (the three royal lions and rose), Scotland (a lion and thistle) and Ireland (the Irish harp and shamrock). An enduring symbol of the Canadian north, the majestically-antlered caribou has remained a Canadian icon since first appearing on the twenty-five-cent piece in 1937. In 1921, Atlantic Canadians built one of the finest racing and fishing vessels in Canadian history, the. The beaver is Canada’s national animal. Highly sought after for its rich fur in the 17th and 18th centuries, it was the mainstay of the colonial economy for centuries. Today, the beaver is revered as a symbol of hard work and perseverance. The Royal Canadian Mint has always sought to make its bullion coins the world’s most pure and innovative. The most recent generation of Gold and Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins are also the world’s most secure, thanks to numerous security and quality features not found on other investment coins. In 2007 the Royal Canadian Mint created the first 99.999% pure gold bullion coin; the highest purity in the world. The current generation of Maple Leaf coins feature a radial line background, and are not available in proof finish. Bullion coins are usually bought as investments in precious metal that trade near spot metal prices. They generally have much higher mintages and are produced at much higher speed than numismatic coins. Royal Canadian Mint Maple Leaf bullion products are available from a network of dealers that spans the globe. In 1931, the Royal Mint in Ottawa was transferred to the Canadian government, becoming the Royal Canadian Mint. The Mint began re-designing circulation coinage shortly thereafter. The Mint’s high-tech plant in Winnipeg can strike up to 750 circulation coins per second and strikes more than 1 billion coins each year! Fine silver versions for special collector sets are struck in Ottawa. Your set of Canadian coinage and medallion are safely enclosed in a leather-style book packaging that provides an elegant presentation time and time again, whether you’re proudly showcasing or repeatedly admiring this treasured addition to your collection! 99.99 % pure silver. Up for sale is a complete 2015 Legacy of the Nickel Fine Silver Coin Set (99.99% pure). This includes all 6 coins in beautiful uncirculated proof condition. Also includes original boxes as seen in photos and original COA’s for all coins. The initial coin of this subscription came with it’s own box, which I also have and is included (see pic 3). The remaining 6 coins came in envelopes with just the COA which are mounted in the display box. I find this to be somewhat rare; as many others available don’t contain the outer sleeve box or all certificates that this has. Throughout its history, each of the nickel’s transformations provides a glimpse of a young nation that was seeking to define itself, and a Mint that would quickly come into its own. This Legacy of the Canadian Nickel subscription is a retrospective look at the history of 5-cent coins minted by the Royal Canadian Mint, beginning with this crossed maple bough design that was used until 1921. Special features: EACH COIN INCLUDES A UNIQUE EFFIGY: Each coin within the subscription is faithful to the original design and includes the effigy of the reigning monarch at the time of the coin’s original issue date. Coins include: #1: The Crossed Maple Boughs #2: Two Maple Leaves #3: The Victory #4: The Identification of Nickel #5: The Centennial 5-cent Coin #6: The Beaver Modern techniques and multiple finishes help bring the past to life with added definition and enhanced detailing. Reviewed by 30 customers. One Of A Kind. Great coin and comes in a great storage box. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend. Was this review helpful? You may also flag this review. As a collector, I found the hologram effects to be a bit lacking. I was expecting more from such a pricey coin. Other than that, the overall representation of the howling wolf and the Northern Lights is very eye-catching. Customers found this review helpful. No Cons-the Perfect Coin. The holographic effect is stunning. Just in time as it turns out. I cannot understand why some complain about the poor holographic effect. My coin is flamboyant under natural and artificial light. Maybe there is some spread during minting. The value and quality of this coin is (to me) much higher than that of any colored one. I hope that it will not tarnish for a long time, because I fear that the oxidation will destroy the effect. The only con: poor artistic image of the wolf. The front legs seem out of proportion (too thin). Hard To See Hologram. Beautiful design though have to hold the coin up to the light to really see the Hologram effect. A most Beautiful Coin. A Lover Of Art, Quality Driven. This is a Gift for my son. He loves wolves and this coin is perfect because not only is it a beautiful Wolf but the hologram effect of the Northern Lights is stupendous. Keep up the good work RCM. Bargain Hunter, Quality Driven. It’s a Beauty, Eh! Lovely addition to collection. After having read other comments about not being able to see the colors & knowing that it’s probably just how it was being held I took a chance and bought this coin. It’s not in-your-face color as some may have liked it to be. It’s more subtle but you can see various colors which come alive as you turn the coin. Love the wolf/northern lights theme. Comes in plastic encasement presented in a a nice little hinged box with cert. Possibly will give this as gift to a nephew. Canadian Collector, Quality Driven. Great Addition To The Col. It’s so awesome to see the shimmering Aurora Borealis as I turn the coin in the light. Another remarkable product of the Royal Canadian Mint. Hologram not as visible as in the pictur. Not sure if a quality issue but cannot get the colours as per the picture -? No, I would not recommend this to a friend. Do you have questions about this product?
