CANADA – Collection of 70 coins in Dansco Album – 1959 to 1973. On offer here is a lovely type set of Canadian coins issued between 1859 and 1973. A total of 70 different coins, in purpose-built Dansco album #7210 as shown. The album is not quite complete – there are 12 coins missing. Used Dansco Album #7210 (with five pages as issued). More than 50% of the coins included are silver (about 40 coins). Queen Victoria Type Set (missing only one coin). Edward VII Type Set (missing only one coin). George V Type Set (missing 1935 & 1936 dollars). George VI Type Set (missing Maple Leaf issues and two other dollar coins). Elizabeth II Type Set (complete, including six One Dollar coins). Rubbing to edges and front cover, small mark inside front cover and Nikko marks inside back cover (see picture). There is also a small patch of white-out? On the back cover. It seems to come off with scratching. Hinges are in good condition – defects described are relatively minor. All five pages are in lovely condition, without marks or tears. There are 70 coins included in the album and 12 blank slots for the remaining coins. I’ve photographed the front and back of each page outdoors in the sun, so there are shadows and some reflections against the plastic inserts. Some of the smaller coins don’t show up very well in the photos, and for a couple there is a sense that they are in poor shape when indeed they are a lot better than the photos suggest. Victorian and Edward silver are typically lower grades (mostly VG-F) and George V issues are generally Fine or better. George VI and QEII coins are much stronger grades, with some nice Unc dollars and a proof-like 1967 set. Photographs include front & back of each page – if you require photos of a specific coin please ask. A rare opportunity to obtain an almost complete set of coins from Canada – there’s just enough work here to make for an interesting completion project. (However, there is room for additional items). The item “CANADA Type Set in Dansco Album 1859-1973 Incl. Large Silver 70 Coins” is in sale since Saturday, October 16, 2021. This item is in the category “Coins\Coins\Middle East”. The seller is “linwood14″ and is located in Ipswich, QLD. This item can be shipped worldwide.

Sightings of the cougar are rare as this secretive hunter passes through the landscape, making her the perfect subject to be captured on a coin. The striking illustration by Glen Loates portrays the elusive cougar as it stalks and crouches on the limb of a sturdy maple tree. Its impressive musculature is displayed magnificently through expert engraving and multiple finishes. The selective colour application makes the coin come to life as the cougar sits nestled between brightly-coloured autumn leaves. The reverse displays the words “CANADA”, the year “2014″, and the face value of “20 DOLLARS” around the rim. This coin has a diameter of 38mm, and weighs just over one troy ounce of 99.99% fine silver. Mintage is limited to 8,500 coins worldwide. As a pure silver coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is GST/HST exempt. Averaging 64kg (140lbs) in weight and up to 3 metres in length, the cougar is noted for its lithe musculature, long hind legs, and a tail that (at almost a metre long) acts as an important counterbalance for the impressive jumper. Cougars are known to disperse up to 1000km from their natal territory to establish their own hunting domains. They are predators of elk, deer, sheep, young moose, and a range of smaller and domesticated animals. Their most necessary requirements when choosing a dwelling are good cover, access to prey, and the privacy that allows the cougar to live the solitary life it enjoys. This solitary elusiveness, however, makes it very difficult for authorities to track and protect the creature. The item “RARE 2014 Canadian 1 oz. 9999 silver Proof COUGAR IN MAPLES with COA & OGP” is in sale since Tuesday, September 28, 2021. 1868-2018 Royal Astronomical Society of Canada $20 Pure Silver Coin with Meteorite

Founded in 1868, The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) has nurtured the passion of astronomers while fostering the curiosity of anyone who has ever looked up at the stars and wondered what lies beyond. We are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the RASC with an awe-inspiring (and scientifically accurate) reverse design that adds a photo-realistic twist to the Societys sesquicentennial logo! To top it all off, the design includes an authentic meteorite fragment, which is a fitting tribute to the contributions of RASC members. Own an extraterrestrial piece of our solar systemone that is potentially as old as Earth itself! YOUR VERY OWN METEORITENO TWO PIECES ARE ALIKE! A real piece of meteorite makes a big impact on your coinsince no two pieces are alike, no two coins are alike making your coin unique! CELEBRATING CANADAS SCIENTIFIC SPIRIT! A special 150th anniversary celebration of The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada! Through the contributions of its 5,000 members, Canadas leading association of amateur and professional astronomers remains dedicated to the advancement of astronomy and related sciences. SOURCED FROM THE CAMPO DEL CIELO METEORITE FIELD! Your coin includes a GUARANTEED authentic meteorite fragment! Sourced from the Campo del Cielo meteorite field, your meteorite fragment likely made impact some 4,500 years ago, but it was originally part of an iron mass that is likely billions of years old. INCLUDES SERIALIZED CERTIFICATE: The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins. PURE SILVER: Your coin is crafted from 99.99% pure silver! LOW WORLDWIDE MINTAGE: Only 5,500 coins will be made available worldwide. GST/HST EXEMPT: Your coin is GST/HST exempt. Designed by Alexandra Lefort, your coin is a re-interpretation of The Royal Astronomical Society of Canadas sesquicentennial logo in a scientifically accurate, photorealism art style. The original logo features stars that allude to Canadian contributions to stellar spectroscopy and photometry, and a globular cluster that honours the scientific work of Helen Sawyer Hogg and Canadas cooperative partnerships; both are colourfully re-imagined here as the Eagle Nebulaspecifically the pillars of interstellar gas and dust known as the Pillars of Creation, where the formation of new stars is a symbolic representation of the RASCs beginnings (and by extension, its anniversary). A fixture in RASC public outreach efforts, the Moon was chosen to represent the lunar calendars of the First Nations peoples, and the navigational astronomy that guided many European discoverers during Canadas early history. Beneath it, the Andromeda galaxythe nearest major galaxy to our ownis a symbolic ode to Canadian contributions to cosmology. Blazing as it burns through Earths upper atmosphere, the depiction of a meteor is topped by a genuine iron meteorite fragment sourced from the Campo del Cielo meteorite fields, where the impact craters date back an estimated 4,500 years. Both the meteorite and the view of the Manicouagan crater in Quebec are a nod to the RASCs longstanding interest in the study of planet geology, meteor dynamics and impact cratering, and to the excellence of Canadian research in these fields. Always fascinating, the space-weather phenomenon of the aurora borealis adds a True North flourish that a design that encapsulates 150 years of exploring the cosmos. The reverse also includes the word CANADA, the double commemorative dates 18682018, and the face value 20 DOLLARS. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Front and center on your coin, the extraterrestrial piece of our solar system was sourced from the Campo del Cielo meteorite field in Argentina, where a large fragment was first documented in 1576. A polycrystalline coarse octahedrite, the IA iron meteorite was recovered from one of 26 impact craters formed roughly 4,500 years ago, when a shower of metallic meteorites dispersed fragments across an area of roughly 320 square kilometres. The typical composition of a Campo del Cielo meteorite is 92.7% iron, 6.15% nickel, 0.42% cobalt, 0.37% carbon and 0.28% phosphorus. Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box. 99.99% pure silver. Alexandra Lefort (reverse), Susanna Blunt (obverse). A GREAT CANADIAN COIN COLLECTORS GIFT! More available, just ask! 4th in the Series! With GLOW IN THE DARK effect. This Engineered Fresnel effect, a first for the Royal Canadian Mint, makes it seem like light moves in, out and across the beams when the coin is tilted. November 7, 1990, 7:20 p. A tourist was enjoying a relaxing swim in the rooftop pool of the Hôtel Bonaventure Montréal, when suddenly, green and yellow light beams emanating from a large, metallic object lit up the night sky. The woman alerted the lifeguard, who called the hotel’s security guard; soon, guests, hotel staff and management had gathered to view this anomalous aerial object, which continued to hover in place. When the light beams suddenly became brighter, police were called in. Baffled, the first officer on the scene contacted his superiors, and before long, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian military and even NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) were reportedly looking into this strange object. Dense cloud cover obscured the view of the UFO, but photographs taken by a journalist provide compelling physical evidence of this unexplained phenomenon. The UFO’s bright light beams colourfully lit up the night sky, and they certainly do on your coin’s reverse. Your coin comes with a flashlight that activates the embedded black light paint technology, which emphasizes the outline of the UFO and adds an intense, colourful glow to the light beams that are also reflected on the pool surface.
