It honors women and their roles as leaders, sages (having or exhibiting wisdom and calm judgment) and guardians of their clan’s history. The coin has an extremely low mintage of just 6,000 coins. The reverse is engraved with the word’CANADA,’ the date’2014,’ and the face value of’25 DOLLARS. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
