The wolf in the foreground leads the chase and is trailed by other members of the pack as it moves swiftly across the rocky forest terrain, even making a hairpin turn while closing in on its fleeing prey. The obverse features the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III by Canadian artist Steven Rosati.
