Designed by Canadian artist Neil Hamelin, your coin’s reverse is an artistic tribute to Canada’s most famous aircraft, the Avro CF-105 Arrow. The gold-plated supersonic interceptor jet appears to be too fast and too powerful to be contained on the reverse, where a unique perspective emphasizes its sleek profile. On the runway, the maple leaf-shaped shadow pays homage to the innovators who designed and built the iconic Arrow, which was, and remains, the pride of Canada. The obverse features a maple leaf pattern and the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt. Was commissioned to develop a supersonic interceptor that would bolster North America’s air defences during the Cold War. Production began at the company’s facilities in the town of Malton, Ontario, and on October 4, 1957, the first Arrow, RL-201, was unveiled to great fanfare. After a successful first flight on March 25, 1958, four more prototypes were completed, plus one Arrow Mk. The twin-engine, delta-winged Arrow was hailed as a technological triumph; it was the first production aircraft to adopt a fly-by-wire flight control system, while the newly developed Iroquois PS-13 turbojet engine would have allowed it to fly at a speed exceeding Mach 2twice the speed of sound. But the program was cancelled on February 20, 1959. All prototypes, models, plans and equipment were ordered destroyed, though some surviving pieces can be found in Canadian museums. Many of the Canadian engineers who worked on the Arrow project went on to play important roles in other aviation projects and in the American space program. What’s the largest surviving piece of the Avro Arrow? The nose section of RL-206, which was 98 percent complete when work stopped on the Arrow program. When the Arrows were disassembled in 1959, this section found its way to the Institute of Aviation Medicine in Toronto, where it was used as a pressure chamber. In 1965, it was donated to the National Aeronautical Collection, which became the National Aviation Museum in 1982 and is now the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa, Ontario, where the nose section is currently on display. Several more Arrow artifacts have resurfaced in the last few years, including several models that have been recovered from the bottom of Lake Ontario. Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded clamshell with a black beauty box. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS A PROBLEM BEFORE GIVING YOUR FEEDBACK. Thank’s for looking. Canada 2021 $20 HRM Queen Elizabeth II’s Lover’s Knot Tiara Fine Silver Coin

Canada 2021 $20 HRM Queen Elizabeth II's Lover's Knot Tiara Fine Silver Coin

Its diamond-adorned arches and suspended pearls inspired the rhodium-plated designs for the 2021 tiara coin, which double as a jewellery-themed celebration of the year of Her Majestys 95th birthday. Commissioned by Queen Mary in 1913 from the House of Garrard, the Lover’s Knot Tiara (also known as Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara) was passed down to her granddaughter, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Originally the Lover’s Knot Tiara contained upright pearls above 19 diamond arches; pearls of which were taken from the Girls of Great Britain & Ireland Tiara (also a favourite of Her Majesty). However, Queen Mary later had these pearls removed from the Lover’s Knot Tiara. This regal tiara was loaned other members of the Royal Family such as Diana, Princess of Wales, and Catherine, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge. The reverse of 2021 coin features an interpretation of the current Lover’s Knot Tiara. Swarovski® crystals add a diamond-like sparkle to the rhodium-plated motif, while three mother-of-pearl pieces stand in for the tiaras suspended pearls. The arrangement is framed by engraved elements resembling the tiaras headband. The commemorative obverse features scroll flourishes and the four effigies of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II that have appeared on Canadian coins since 1953. This 38mm fine silver coin is a tiara-themed tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the year of her 95th birthday. Swarovski crystals: The Lovers Knot Tiara inspired the coins reverse, where the rhodium-plated design is adorned with Swarovski® crystals that add a regal sparkle. Mother of Pearl! The Royal Canadian Mint’s interpretation on this famous tiara wouldnt be complete without one of its distinguishing features, its pearls, which are re-created with mother of pearl.
